Measuring Guide – Moustik Air Mosquito Nets
To ensure a perfect fit for your mosquito net, carefully follow the steps below depending on the type of opening.
🪟 1. Window (fixed or framed mosquito net)
✅ Measurement to be taken: interior dimensions of the frame
-
Height (H): Measure from top to bottom inside the frame (frame).
-
Width (W): Measure between the two uprights, inside the frame.
👉 Tip: Take measurements in 3 places (top/middle/bottom), keep the smallest value to avoid any blockage.
📌 Please note: the frame must be flat to at least 2 cm deep to accommodate the mosquito net frame.
🚪 2. Bay window (side or sliding mosquito net)
✅ Measurement to be taken: dimensions of the useful passage (opening day)
-
Width (W): Measure the width between the right and left inside edges of the bay window frame.
-
Height (H): measure from the bottom of the top rail to the top of the bottom rail (or vice versa depending on the model).
👉 Tip: Make sure you have at least 4 cm of clearance for installing the side screen box.
📌 Please note: Irregular or curved sills may require adaptation or a low profile.
🔲 3. Velux (roof window)
✅ Measurement to be taken: dimensions of the visible exterior frame
-
Width (L): measure the visible exterior width of the wooden or PVC frame around the glazing.
-
Height (H): Measure the visible exterior height.
👉 Tip: Do not measure the glazing, but the fixed frame around it.
📌 Please note: our mosquito nets fit most roof window models such as Velux® / Fakro® / Roto®.
